How To Boost Your Motivation Motivation is different for everyone’s motivation. That one word that tells a million stories and brings in feelings of going beast mode and grinds time. For some, it is what they use as a factor for getting things done and the reason why they do it. For others, it is a guiding light. One that directs them and brings the best in them when it’s time to go to work.

Motivation is an emotion.

Let’s talk about why it’s so important and a drive for so many. First of all, it is an emotion. One that is sparked through the seeing of a particular event or hearing a song that makes you go out there and climb buildings and jump off cliffs into the unknown.

And the more and more they begin to understand that motivation is crucial when you need it to drive you forward, they learn to associate events, sceneries, audio, or pictures that led them to why it motivated them. Hence why people have a playlist of music or a certain video they watch to motivate them because of the driven effect that it has given them in the past.

The next point I want to make is that motivation is great in propelling you forward in your goals because it makes you want to get out there and do something. Every time you feel motivated it is like a surge of fire rushing through your veins and your eyes light up as bright as the sun. You just want to go there with all your emotions and let it out. You want to smash goals, go places in life!

That is all well and truly great but as previously mentioned, motivation is an emotion. And emotions are feelings therefore they come and go. Sometimes we are inclined to feel a certain way towards certain experiences and another way in other events. So while it is important to know what drives you to use it as a tool, I suggest also not rely on ‘motivation’ to get you going every time.

Great habits come first

In reality, you cannot just expect to get things done when you feel like it or when the feeling is there. If we all did that we would never work or get anything done in life. It is important to first form good habits of working hard along with being consistent and being conscious of any changes we may need to alter in our lifestyles in order to get the most out of our days.

Motivation is great, it’s what brings people to be the greatest of themselves but we must want to be successful, want to be the best we can be, and achieve that of which we set our hearts and mind. We should want to be great then the motivation will follow.

In closing, there have been many times I have used particular songs or events to trigger my emotions and in order to get motivated and pumped up to get a workout done or just blast through the workday when things seem tough. So the next time you lack the will to do anything, think back; what motivates me?

Always get back up. No matter how many times you get knocked down in life you must get back up. You owe it to yourself, you are strong and cannot let hardships break your spirit.

Motivation tip #4: Embrace Patience.

Embrace the idea of patience. All great things take time to unfold in life, especially if the goal you have set is worth it. Whether you are trying to get into great shape, build a relationship, start a business or just become a better person; patience will take you very far. Keep practicing, keep growing because your time will come.

Acknowledge the fact that you are growing. Take the time of day to look at what you have accomplished. Embrace every single battle that you go through because it is making you stronger. You have a purpose to achieve, a dream to claim, and a group of people that are inspired by your greatness. Keep growing, keep pushing and never let anything break your spirit.
